CAD
Have an idea in your head that you want to make into a physical product?
Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the process of using software to create a 3D product that can then be utilised for a wide variety of applications from 3D printing to CNC manufacturing.
We can help you get your ideas into digital 3D form. From there, you can either stop and take the file somewhere else, or continue with us for prototyping or even right through to final product.
For final product printing, please use our 'Print your File' service once you have your finished CAD file, or contact us directly.
3D Scanning
Want to replicate an object you already own? Or do you want to create something to fit in a specific space?
Our UV 3D scanner allows us to create a detailed 3D model of almost anything.
It works by tracking features on an object and reflecting UV light into it's sensors. Large featureless areas can be scanned using tracking dots, and dark, reflective surfaces can be scanned using scanning spray which coats an object in a fine powder - this will need to be cleaned off after. Due to the use of UV, this service requires an indoor space.
Please note: This service is often in-person, therefore travel & accommodation fees may apply should we need to come to you.
Prototyping
Sometimes creating a new product can take a bit of trial and error. Here at Stratis Studios, we recognise that this can be a lengthy and sometimes costly process.
To help you with this, we offer prototyping packages that enable you to save money by testing initial ideas out using cheaper materials and lower infills. These prototypes will not be as strong or durable as your final product, but will allow you to test dimensions and designs without the full manufacturing costs. Pair this with our CAD service to realise your product from idea to finished product!
